Our guest speakers, Quang Evansluong and Marcella Ramirez Pasillas, are both PhD's who have been actively promoting and supporting entrepreneurship among immigrants in Sweden. They will talk about their work based on four entrepreneurial journeys of Cameroonian, Lebanese, Mexican and Assyrian immigrants who founded their businesses in Sweden.

Quang and Marcela have identified three phases that immigrants typically go through and aspects influencing how immigrants move ahead:
 Breaking-ice. Immigrants trigger entrepreneurial ideas to overcome the disadvantages that they face as immigrants in the host country.
 Breaking-in. Immigrants articulate their entrepreneurial ideas by bonding with the ethnic community.
 Breaking-out. The immigrants reorient their entrepreneurial ideas strengthening their sense of belonging to the local community.

Quang is currently a Visiting Researcher at the Gothenburg Research Institute, University of Gothenburg and was previously a postdoc researcher at Lund University School of Economics and Management. Between 2016 and 2018 Quang worked as an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Enterprise Management at Bristol Business School, University of the West of England, United Kingdom. Quang is a native Vietnamese but has spent his entire adulthood living, studying and working in the US, UK, Canada and Sweden.

Marcela Ramirez-Pasillas is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and affiliated to CeFEO at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS). She served as the first Programme Director of the Bachelor in Sustainable Enterprise
Development, and as a Chairman of the STEP European Leadership Council of the Global STEP Project founded by Babson College (USA).
