What to Consider when Seeking Personal Insurance

Ms. Futterer will present on the topic of Personal Insurance. Commonly uncovered exposures faced by successful individuals and families can have a significant financial impact on personal assets. We will talk through how coordinating appropriate risk management strategies, as well purchasing proper insurance coverage, can protect assets and reduce and mitigate claims. Our discussion will help to identify and understand exposures to personal wealth and assets caused by owned property, vehicles operated, and people and organizations interacted with in personal life. Some of the common areas of concern (Red Flags) that need to be addressed by personal insurance programs fall into three categories: Liability, Property, and Automobile

Anne began her career in the insurance industry in 1998, working at her local AAA agency as entry level. Moving on to Farm Bureau while obtaining her property and casualty insurance licenses, serving clients, handling claims and providing advice, she quickly understood the importance of helping people navigate personal and commercial risk.  That education helped Anne establish a solid fundamental knowledge of the industry. Anne worked in personal lines with independent agencies Lenahan-Versical in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI; Mason-McBride in Troy, MI; Brown and Brown of Detroit, MI; and commercial lines at CIA Financial Group in Shelby Township, MI, before bringing her experience to USI in 2018. Anne works with our largest and most successful individuals, families and family offices, understanding the ever-changing needs of their personal risk management portfolio. Anne has obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2010, and her Certified Authority on Worker’s Compensation (CAWC) designation in 2013. Going above and beyond to get further educated in the insurance industry, Anne is especially passionate about truly helping clients understand their coverages and the need for consistent evaluation of their programs.  Excellent service means being there when clients need you if they have questions, as well as counseling them on coverage options and risk management and mitigation opportunities.
