Join fellow Rotarians and Community Members as we celebrate the dedication of the Jeanne M. Stine Community Park in Troy!

Jeanne Stine was the first woman elected to Troy City Council, first in 1976 as well as the first woman Mayor of Troy, elected in 1992.  Mayor Stine served as mayor until 2001, then continued to serve on City Council until 2007.

Also an honorary member of Troy Rotary, Jeanne continues to serve her community in various aspects and encourages others to play a positive role in their community.

Jeanne M. Stine Community Park is located just off Town Center Dr, east of Livernois, near the Troy Skate Park and Troy Community Center.  The park is intended to be a multi-use space full of grass and trees and to be used for public events. The park includes asphalt walkways, on-site parking, lighting for evening events, and wide grassy areas that will offer a range of programming opportunities.

Dedication ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 26.

Important Information

  • Parking: There is limited parking available near the park, so you’re encouraged to use the North Lot of the Community Center and/or carpool if you can.
  • Inclement Weather Plan: In the event of rain/thunderstorms, dedication ceremony will be held in the Community Center, Senior Dining Room

Afterwards, we’ll be heading to Joe Cool’s Troy Bar & Grill for Happy Hour!
