Please pre-register for this very special luncheon $20

Long before seismic change began to sweep the health care landscape, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan was anticipating transition, and working collaboratively to improve the delivery of care in Michigan and beyond. Daniel J. Loepp, BCBSM’s Detroit born and raised president and CEO, has been on the leading edge of this change.

He’s directed sweeping initiatives and innovations that have led to a historic transformation of Blue Cross and health care in Michigan. For more than 10 years Blue Cross has partnered with physicians and hospitals together to improve the quality of and lower the cost of care. Efforts launched with provider partners, including the nation’s largest regional Patient Centered Medical Home program, have delivered hundreds of millions in cost savings and transformed the health care system.

CEO Daniel J. Loepp will share how BCBSM is successfully navigating change in the health care industry to support a sustainable, high quality and affordable health care system while maintaining its mission to serve its members as a mutual insurance company.

Mr. Loepp, who joined Blue Cross in 2000, is a national leader in health care. He has served as board chair of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), an organization that includes all 36 Blues plans and provides health coverage to more than 106 million Americans. He continues to serve on the BCBSA board as well as two other influential industry boards - America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and the National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM).

Mr. Loepp earned both his B.A. and M.A. from Wayne State University.
