On February 5th, the Interact Club of Rotary Dragon Club hosted the Reach for the Stars event to fundraise for the West Vancouver Memorial Library (WVML) Foundation.
With the host of the president of the interact club, Edward Ding, and the other two Co-hosts for fundraising, six new interactors introduced the field of aeronautics and aviation, a Kahool game where participants answer questions about the short speeches during the event. Approximately forty people joined with us and enjoyed the whole procedure. Mr. Dave Hamilton, Rotary 5040 District Gavornor, Ms. Val Liddle, Rotary 5040 District Interact Chair, Ms Catherine Liang, President of Rotary Dragon Club, Ms. Shuana Wang, Principle of Shuang Music School and Mr. James Wang, City Council of Burnaby joined the event and showed their congrats to the event.
Because of the pandemic, the West Vancouver Library has received minimal funds. In order to thank for their continuous service to the community and help them as far as we can, our new interactors hosted this event. Including donations and charity sale items, they collected $1520 and donated all to the library. Mr. Anndreas Thompson, Chairman of the WVML and Ms. Heather Kaart, Chair of the Engagement Committee of WVML foundation joined the event and encouraged our interactors for their wonderful job and contribution to the library.
