What a weekend! Pontiac Rotary partnered with Oakland Co Parks, We Love Lit, Bloomfield Rotary and the Rotary Club of Time and Talent to host ten Pontiac families for an overnite camping trip at beautiful Groveland Oaks! (see photos in the Photo Library, column to your left.)
While the Rotarians provided and prepped the meals, the Parks staff engaged the families with fishing, hikes, campfire building, and other fun outdoor activities. Dr. Currie and We Love Lit continued coaching on reading and character. Pontiac Rotary provided "The Mighty Oak" books to the young people to go along with the planting of a tree provided by Tim and Goldner Walsh. The smiles tell the story!
Special thanks to Kathy and Tim for all their organizing, shopping and coordinating. What a wonderful experience for families and Rotarians alike!
