Well, we had one interesting evening! It was full of surprises!
District AG Janet Haas was prompt arriving at 4:30 waiting in an area reserved for 25 people that supposedly Rotary had reserved. Upon inquiry, it was revealed that Jeremy Moss's who is running for House Representative Campaign was who had actually reserved the space. Karen Jorgensen stopped by to hi on her way to the Moss "Meet 'N Greet".
After we moved to another section of Filmore 13 there was discussion about the various buildings of Downtown Pontiac, but because Janet was going to attend the Auburn Hills club meeting later in the evening and the were no more arrivals, food was ordered. Janet thoroughly enjoyed her Reuban, and a salad (oops, thought about lettuce after the first bite) was also enjoyed!
Then Tom strolled in, fashionably late, just in time to see Janet and chat about Rotarians from the Livonia Club just before Janet had to dash to make the Auburn Hills meeting. Tom ordered the prosciutto pizza which came topped with argula, he said it was very good, he just didn't expect "lettuce" on his pizza.
Then Carol & Ron hiked in. They parked in the lot where we used to park when we were meeting at the Alley Cat. Ron is doing just fine, wondering why the Doctor requires him to walk with a walker. Carol & Ron both ordered Reubens, there discussion about gardening between Carol & Kathy, Tom & Ron may have been chatting about Tom's upcoming trip to Stratford the coming weekend. The fun discussion of the evening? the discussion about transgendered persons playing in sports. If you weren't there, you missed a good one. It was so great to see Carol & Ron "out and about"!
Next week, we have a new restaurant (a drive by and a reconnaissance will happen this weekend, but looks good on the web):
Dogwoods Kitchen and Bar
1075 E Walton Blvd, Pontiac, MI 48340-1436, United States
Appears to be at the corner of Giddings Road and Walton Blvd
See you then!
And just because it is July...
