FIELD TRIP to Pontiac's Creative Arts Center! Apr 18, 2024 11:59 AM

Join us at 47 Williams Street, Pontiac for a field trip to Pontiac's Creative Arts Center!  Parking is on Lawrence Street, in the funeral home parking lot.  It is important that you RSVP to Gale at gale@elliottwoodworking.com by 3pm on Tuesday to reserve your $15 lunch.

The Pontiac Creative Arts Center was established 60 years ago, in 1964 by Dr.Harold Furlong to cultivate arts and culture in the community through exhibition, education and outreach.  The building was originally the Pontiac City Library, built in 1898 by the Ladies' Library Association. In 1924 the Association turned the library over to the City of Pontiac, and when the library moved in the 1950s, this building became the city's Art Center.  Since 1964, the Pontiac Creative Arts Center (PCAC), a 501(c)3 non-profit, has continued its mission of “Cultivating arts and culture in the community through exhibitions, education, and outreach.”  Ongoing exhibits are presented, workshops and classes are offered, and various community events are held throughout the year.
