Dash or Crash update provided by Karen Gill and Vern Boyajian:  Last year we had 460 people register and so far this year we have 160 registered.  We have 90 volunteers on board, but need about 130 volunteers.  Each Rotarian is asked to sponsor at least 2 runners to help us exceed our numbers from last year.  Also, addition company memorabilia/donations are needed for the VIP gift bags.  Earlier it was said that people needed to register by June 11th to receive a shirt, now those that register after the 11th will receive a shirt, but it will need to be collected from the Caldwell Bank Realty office after the race day.  Please contribute however you can to help make this event a success!

PROGRAM:
Program Host Jeff Hayden introduced Meena Puri, a Yoga Therapist, Registered Ayurvedic Practioner (R.A.P.) and Certified Meditation Teacher, from Ayurvedic Healing Center in Milford. Ayurvedic is from India and involves the practice of wholestic medicine.  Meena’s aim is to create health on a day-to-day basis through food and how we interact with others and ourselves rather than efforts of traditional medicine that focuses on symptoms and curing disease. Meena is a strong proponent of yoga and how its practice can help bring calm to one’s life.  Karen and Terry Gill spoke of how Meena has helped them handle stress and refocus to take control of their lives over the past year.  Additional information can be found at AyurvedicHealingCenter.com or at 248-685-3489.
