PROGRAM:
Program host Stan Schafer introduced Chris Rans, Ed. S. who spoke about “How does the young adult/adult with higher functioning autism/Aspergers Syndrome “see and interpret” the world around him/her!” Chris Rans spent 17 years with Huron Valley Schools helping students with autism and owns and operates a consulting service and website called www.TotallySocialASD.com  Autism is a social/communication neurological disorder with restricted and repetitive interests.  Approximately one in 30 births is a boy with high functioning autism.  Ninety-five percent of autistic people are visual learners.  Because people with autism have difficulty with facial and social cues, yet are usually highly intelligent, finding employment can be difficult.  Stefan Kogler of Power to the Grid seeks employees with high functioning autism to work with social media for his advertising company called Modern Content.  They will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at Becker Brewery on Main Street from 3:30-5:30pm on June 10th and all members are welcome to attend and learn more about this initiative.

50/50 Progressive Drawing:  Chris Rans, Brian Donovan and Melanie Moses were unsuccessful in locating the Ace of Spades.
