Jason Conrad Huntley announced the next Family of Rotary event at the Island Lake Shooting Range 5-Stand Shooting on Thursday, April 18th at 4pm.  Cost is $8 plus ammunition.  If you don’t have equipment to try this, don’t worry—other Club members can help.  Those that do not want to shoot are encouraged to join the Heckling Gallery.  RSVP by April 12th to Jason Conrad Huntley at 810-229-5212.

Sad News Raiders—Richard Dotts passed before we could construct the ramp this Saturday.  Another member of the family may need a ramp in the future, but we will wait to see about family plans before scheduling construction.  Funds collected by the family to help with costs have been donated by the Dotts family to the Raiders to help with another project!  Also, the Labor of Love April 27th ramp build needs each participant to register at www.LaborofLoveLivingston.com for the Brighton Rotary Team led by Piet Lindhout.

Anderson-McGregor Scholarship applications are due on Wednesday, April 10th at the BHS Counseling Office.  Please alert graduating seniors of this opportunity to receive scholarship funds to support their Michigan-based continued education.  Applications are available at www.Brighton Rotary.com or at the Brighton High School Scholarship page.

The Brighton District Library is holding a capital campaign to purchase 13 new lights for the circular drive.  Each lights costs $1,000 and a bucket was passed to see if we can raise enough funds to purchase one light from our Club to be marked with a plaque recognizing the Brighton Rotary Club.

Mike Hatty is a Circuit Judge in Livingston County who went to school at Western Michigan University and graduated from Cooley Law School. His wife is a professional volunteer, they have three children, and two granddaughters with a grandson on the way.  Mike has known Brighton Rotarian Lee Gough since they went to school together and Mike passed to Lee the duty of transporting lobbyists to Lansing.

Kim Welsh-Gemuend is a Cleary University graduate who grew-up in Stearling Heights and moved to Brighton in 1985. She started her career in real estate in 1986 and has two sons and a 10-week-old granddaughter.  She met Tom Coates 25-years ago when he built her house.  The five things Kim values in life are:  Faith, Family, Friends, Freedom, and Food.

Melissa Osborn was born in Ashley, MI, near St. Johns.  A graduate of Central Michigan University, she attended a four-year chiropractic college in Iowa.  Mellisa owns and operates Lifetime Family Chiropractic on Grand River next to the Woodland Health Center and has a four-year-old daughter and two-year-old identical twin boys.  The person most influential in her life and home would have to be her Dad who has taught her in so many ways about what life is and isn’t.

Donna Craig is not only Jane McManus’s sister who recently moved to Brighton from Oakland County, she is a University of Michigan Nursing graduate known for walking the walls of the Oxford Housing walls as the Women’s Champion!  After graduating from UM, Donna worked in Boston as a nurse, got interested in public health law, and graduated from Boston University as an attorney.  Her daughter is studying architecture at Harvard Graduate School.
