Kaomi Joy Taylor, the founder and “chief namiac” of Museums of Names, was our speaker on Oct 23rd, and she told us 10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Your Name.
A name:
- Can catch and reflect emotions
- fluency is a trainable skill
- Can be workplace gold or kryptonite
- Is your Brand
- Has extraordinary power
- gathering is a thing
- Has layers of meaning (see the YouTube video of our meaning to see and hear the layers)
- Is a human right
- Is a membership card
- Your brain's wake up word
A fascinating talk about first names and a fun way to start the day.
