The Williston-Richmond Rotary Club’s Adopt-A-Bench program is a great opportunity for members to volunteer and provide a Service to our community.
A prospective Adopter chooses a bench from the list below, visits the bench at least once in the spring and once in the fall to evaluate, and takes care of its needs and that of its surroundings.
The following list of tasks is provided to assist the Adopter. The Adopter is encouraged to show their love for their adopted bench by:
- Cleaning and maintaining their bench.
- Ensuring that their bench has a Rotary name plate that includes our QR code.
- Cleaning the surrounding area of trash and weeds.
- Enhancing with flowers and/or painted rocks with a positive message is encouraged.
- Most importantly, sitting on and spending some time with their bench.
If your bench has been neglected and requires major attention, notify the Sevice Committee for assistance with its care and expenses.
