On Dec. 12, we learned about the background of our newest member, Lisa Hamm. Lisa grew up in Houston and Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia, where she studied public accounting and met her husband. After achieving her CPA she moved into industry, where she pursued her interest in building businesses and collaborative teams. From there she has transitioned into consulting for private equity firms, where she typically works with founder-led businesses who get acquired, helping to navigate that transition. It was fascinating to hear about opportunities and challenges that come from managing the often competing goals of visionary, mission-driven founders and private equity investors seeking to maximize capital and cash out.
Lisa and her husband Jeremy moved from Georgia to Vermont a few years ago to enjoy a cooler climate and be closer to their adult children.
