The Rotary values expressed in the Four-Way Test and our motto of Service Above Self are universal and helpful in approaching any aspect of one's life. The Rotary Club of Fairborn, Ohio has developed two apple-themed children's books to bring these ideas to early readers, children in grades 1-3.
Barb LeWinter, chair of our Youth & Literacy Committee, arranged for our club to donate the books to the public libraries in Williston and Richmond, as well as to the Allen Brook and Richmond Elementary Schools. Hopefully we'll plant a seed of interest in some potential Rotarians of the future!
