Get ready to see a mini ToastMasters meeting at our Rotary club meeting. On Feb 26th, Warren Coolidge and 5 Champ Masters members came to present the mini meeting. Champ Masters is a Burlington-based Toastmaster's club. Toastmasters, a non-profit organization, gives you the opportunity to take your speaking and leadership skills to the next level. Members practice giving speeches, leading meetings, and receiving constructive feedback on prepared talks, impromptu speaking (Table Topics), and various meeting roles, fostering confidence and personal growth.
Along with Warren as the events toastmaster was his wife, Carol Coolidge, Kathleen Culver, Kaomi Taylor, Annie Paumgarten, and Raj Rawal, who all had roles in the mini meeting. While usually a 90 minute meeting, Warren kept the pace for this 30 minute presentation.

Kaomi gave us the Word of the Day, “nickname,” which came from Middle English eke-name, where eke meant additional = additional name. Kaomi was a recent Williston Rotary speaker from the Museum of Names. Her previous talk can be found on our YouTube page.
Kathleen was the main speaker of the morning, and she delighted us with “Credit or Results”. Kathleen was a also recent Williston Rotary speaker from the PMEZ, a project management made easy company. Her previous talk, Keep Calm and Carry On, was recorded on Zoom and is available upon request.
Warren filled in as the humorist with his story on Calvin Coolidge, US President from Vermont.
Next up was Table Topics, where Carol asked 3 volunteers to give a 2 minute impromptu presentation on questions she asked. Annie, Ted Kenney and Kel Bachus all did an excellent job with their topics.
Raj rounded out the morning as evaluator on all 4 speakers, and Carol closed out the meeting.
