Our guest speaker on Oct. 10 was Dave Carter, a retired attorney and longtime Rotarian, who spoke with us about his decades of service as a ski patroller in Vermont. Trained as an EMT, Dave has helped ensure safety on the slopes and assisted countless injured skiers in getting off the mountain and to the medical attention they need. In 68 years of skiing he has only had one injury himself. Best of all, he has developed lifelong friendships through ski patrolling.
