Mary Joy Patchett, executive director of the Richmond Food Shelf & Thrift Store, receives our club's donation check from Vince Conte, Grants & Donations Committee chair.

To close out the 2023-24 Rotary year that ended on June 30, the club made a series of grants to local nonprofits with a focus on programs that provide immediate benefits to community members. One such recipient of a $1000 grant is the Richmond Food Shelf's GOT MILK program that provides vouchers to clients to purchase milk and cheese from the Richmond Market. Because the food shelf has limited refrigerator capacity, this collaboration with Richmond Market offers a way to expand the range of nutritious food that can be offered to households. You can learn more about the organization here: https://www.richmondfoodshelfvt.org/.
