Our speaker for Nov 6th was Hazen Metro, overall Winner of the 2025 Grade 1 (premiere) CLASP World Solo Piping Competition in Glasgow, Scotland, and he came in with bagpipes awhirl with a haunting rendition of the Lament of the Laird Dungallen, a style of bagpipe music called ceol mhor, translated to meaning big music, followed by a short oral history of scottish music rich with instruments of the clarsach (celtic harp) and bagpipes.
