Marc Mattox, Paradise Town Engineer/Public Works Director

Born in Redding, Marc Mattox moved to Chico in 2003 to obtain his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering at CSU, Chico. Following graduation in 2007, he started his career in the public sector with the City of Yuba City. After obtaining his Professional Engineering license in 2012, his career became more local after accepting an Associate Civil Engineer position with the Town of Paradise. In 2015, Marc was promoted to Public Works Director/Town Engineer for the Town of Paradise.

Marc and his wife, Michelle, have two children, Mae (11) and Sara (8). His family moved to Paradise in 2016 and following the Camp Fire, they have permanently located back in Chico.

Like many staff with the Town of Paradise, Marc enjoys the opportunities to create generational change in rebuilding a stronger and more resilient Paradise.
