Tom Bahr, Chico's Airport Manager

Tom grew up in grew up in Payson, UT. After graduating from high school he served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Southern France, and then attended Southern Utah University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Biology, after which he taught high school science for a number of years. Tom married his "amazing wife" Michelle in 2005, and they now have two girls. After teaching high school for a few year, Tom made the decision to achieve his dream of becoming a pilot, and left that career to pursue a career in aviation. He has been a pilot since 2009, and returned to school in 2011 to receive a Masters degree in Aviation Management from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. He worked at a Flight Base of Operations (FBO) initially as an intern in 2012, which quickly became a management position until in 2015 Utah Valley University asked him to teach as a full time Adjunct Professor of Aviation. He left Utah when he was offered a position as Airport Manager at the Show Low Regional Airport in Show Low Arizona, and was there from 2017 until he accepted the position as Airport Manager for the Chico Municipal Airport in April this year.
