Dave Schlom has been a science journalist for the past three decades specializing in the earth and space sciences. His PRX syndicated program Blue Dot, produced by North State Public Radio in Chico, CA, features a series of programs commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Program. Dave is widely regarded by members of the space history community as an expert journalist on all things related to the "golden age of space exploration." After retiring from teaching

in the not too distant future, Dave plans to concentrate solely on his broadcast journalism projects and to continue the Apollo series through 2022 commemorating the last flight to the Moon, Apollo 17 in 1972. Dave lives in Red Bluff, California with his partner Cheryl and three dogs Pearl, Elvis and Ellie.
