Preparing the Bulletin on Clubrunner

 

ü      Login

ü      You will find yourself at the "Adminstration" screen

ü      Go to "Edit Bulletin Contents" in the Club eBulletin area of the screen

ü      Click "Edit" on the previous Bulletin it will have a "Y" under the "Show" column

ü      At the bottom of the screen is a pull-down menu beside "Show In Bulletin" choose "Don't show it in the Bulletin" (we have to do this otherwise when you email the current Bulletin the previous one will also be sent)

ü      Click save and then return to the "Update Bulletin Contents" screen

ü      Click on "Add New Content" just above the "Actions" column

ü      In the "Story Title" box type in the date of the Bulletin (that is the date of the meeting you are writing about)

ü      In the main box, simply type your report the same as you would with any Word document; you can change the fonts, colour, size, etc. You can also spell check your report.

ü      When you are finished, click on the pull-down menu beside "Created By" and choose your name (it seems to default to Dean Rutty, but be brave and show that you are the author of the week's Bulletin!)

ü      Then, click on "Save" if you have been too wordy, it will warn you and you will need to edit your story. Otherwise, the Bulletin will be saved and you will be returned to the "Update Bulletin Contents" screen.

ü      Click on "Return" at the bottom of the screen and you will find yourself at the Administration menu.

ü      Now, click on "Email Bulletin to Members and/or Friends" in the Club eBulletin area

ü      At this screen it is already ticked for the Bulletin to go to Club Members and your Friends (if you have set any up).

ü      Click "Send" and you will be asked if you want to send this email now click "yes" and off goes the Bulletin! This will be confirmed on screen and then you just click on "Return" and you're back at the "Adminstration" screen.

(Please note: For all you creative types who use Macs, Clubrunner now allows you to prepare the Bulletin directly - so although I may have posted it for you in the past, you now have the power to take on the full assignment - I know you can do it!!)
