Emergency Information Vials Now Available in All
Thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Burlington Central, funding has been made available to produce “Emergency Information Vials” for distribution to all
“The vial speaks for you, when you can’t.”
During pharmacy awareness week (March 7-11) vials will be available from all community pharmacies. After a review of your current medications, referred to as a “Medscheck” the pharmacist will provide you with a profile to place in the vial along with an additional document for you to add pertinent medical information. The vial is then placed on the door of your refrigerator for easy retrieval by
The launching of this program has been the product of over a year of work in a co-ordinated effort between Halton EMS, Burlington Pharmacists and The Rotary Club of Burlington Central. The vials are being assembled by high school volunteers. Having a vial with current information can be vital to saving lives, be sure to contact your pharmacist to arrange for a medication review and to receive your “Emergency Vial.”
