Announcements
Please Note that there is NO MEETING NEXT THURSDAY MORNING. Replacing it is the 4 Club Meeting at the Holiday Inn the previous evening, October 31st. Tickets are required but at the time of writing this I could not find out if tickets are still available. If you are interested give Rene Papin a call. Tickets are $30.00
Gerry Willard spoke to our upcoming Remembrance Meeting on November 13th. He has since sent out an email to everyone with more information.
Today is World Polio Day. In honour of this, 15% of all proceeds at Fionn MacCool’s Restaurant on Appleby Line are being donated to Polio Plus. Members of our club are invited to join in for the cause.
Andrew Gaydon spoke about the Poinsettias Fundraiser which he is heading. He has since sent out an email supplementing and including the information he provided today. He asked that everyone participate by selling poinsettias to our friends, relatives and acquaintances. Orders must be in by November 16th and delivery will be November 21 or December 5th. Plants are being shipped directly from the grower so it is important that we get our orders in early. Joe Watson provided tips on who to approach and suggested getting the write-up from Andrew, put your name on it and send it out to people on your contact list. He also suggested that you do a sales job on whoever you interact with in the next couple of weeks such as your doctor, dentist, barber, clients, etc.
Speaker-Facilitator Greg Schinkel
Greg is a Rotarian from the Rotary Club of London and has brought with him an interactive electronic remote voting system where questions on our wishes or interests for the future direction of our Rotary Club could be determined. He has made this presentation/voting system to approximately 15 clubs in southwestern Ontario this fall.

At the conclusion of the meeting Greg agreed to provide a summary of the results to President David Roscoe and he in turn would arrange to send it out to all of us.
David thanked Greg for providing this system to us to summarize the interests of our club members.
