Three people were the lucky winners in the 2019 Rotary Vacation Raffle, held by the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh.
A set of luggage (a $500 retail value) from AAA Northway was won by Brian Hicks of Rouses Point, N.Y.- A $3,000 AAA Northway travel voucher and a one-year membership (or $3,000 in cash) went to Vicki Marking of West Chazy N.Y.
- Lonnie Cross of Peru, N.Y., won the Grand Prize, a $5,000 AAA Northway travel voucher including a one-year AAA membership (or $5,000 in cash).
Ellen Bouchard, past Rotary club president and co-chair of the raffle, said, “This raffle was a GREAT success due to club participation and our generous members of the community who purchase tickets. The funds raised support the local initiatives of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh. Thank you to everyone.”
Rotarians sold nearly 1,000 tickets before the drawing, which was held on Wednesday, May 1. More than $9,400 garnered in the raffle will be distributed to local programs in the community.
