Camp CasyCamp Casey provides respite care for severely ill children via horses therapy. Camps and home visits are available. They need donations, volunteers and publicity. Spread the word. Bowers Farm and Camp Casey made a great connection at our last meeting.

Lighthouse Thanksgiving eventBloomfield Hills Rotary packed boxes for three hours and donated $1,500 to Lighthouse today. The team worked very hard and packed a lot of food.

September 18th meeting is at Bowers Farm.Our club will be meeting next week at Bowers Farm. Box lunches will be provided for all those who register with Laura by Mon. (9/15/14) Please join us for this annual event where we learn about all of the new programs offered for the coming school year. I have also copied the information for the Bowers Farm Patriot Week Festival that takes place this coming Sunday. Please see below. 5th Annual Patriot Week FestivalOn Sunday September 14 from 1:00-5:00 pm the Patriot Week Organization will be hosting their 5th Annual Patriot Week Festival at the Bowers School Farm. The Patriot Week Festival is very family friendly with free pony rides, wagon rides, and patriotic music, among other attractions. Schools demonstrations and dignitaries will be on hand to address the audience, to make this a fun filled and educational event. September 14 is also the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner, and a special tribute to the national anthem, as well as to 9/11, will be part of the program. There is no admission fee, and food and drink will be available for purchase. |
