Willard Burton
Willard is a pillar of Rotary, of his Church and family, father of six kids, and has numerous grandchildren. He is originally from Cape Breton; he grew up in New Brunswick on a mixed farm with horses, cows, pigs and a store meat shop. His father sold everything in his store and Willard has memories of homemade bread and molasses, a staple in the family. His father’s store was very nice.Willard married Betty Smith in 1956 at the age of 18 and in 1957 he moved to Toronto. His first job in Toronto was with Dominion Store, he then moved on to Banker’s Dispatch where he was a VP for Canada. Loomis Courier bought out Banker’s Dispatch and in 1987 Loomis Courier was sold to Mayne Security and they bought Willard out.
In 1996 Willard’s wife Betty passed away and in 1997 he married the lovely Sandra. In 2003 Willard opened a Coin Store at Crawfords in Norval, in 2008 he moved the Coin Store to Queen and McLaughlin and in 2017 he sold the Coin Store.
