Past President Wendell Brown, this year's chair of the Easter Seals committee, presided over our annual Easter Seals recognition luncheon. He introduced Savana Sparks, our new Easter Seals Ambassador.

Savana is proud to do this job and confided to us that she always wanted to do this for Easter Seals. She looks forward to attending all the fundraising events.

Wendell introduced  Kathy Wessels who has been the district manager for Easter Seals for  the last two years.

Kathy told us how many Brampton families have been assisted by the Easter Seals Society, with financial assistance for mobility and communication devices. The society also provides Camping and recreational choices to the families. Lakewood Camp is available for the whole family. Merrywood and Wood Eden camps are for the traditional summer camping experience.

For the kids that do not want to go to camp the society offers computer and other day programs.

This past summer funding was provided for 17 children from the Brampton area to attend camp.

Wendell and Dittie further elaborated on the many Easter Seals funraising events that we organize.

At the end of the presentation President Ed presented a cheque for $ 20,000 to Kathy and Easter Seals..
