District seeks Brazil leader

District is looking experienced and energetic Rotarians who are interested in experiencing a life changing experience of leading a team of four young professionals to Brazil for a month in April/May 2007.

The team leader will be selected on September 13th in the evening at AECON in Mississauga. The evening begins with dinner and a chance to meet the Rotarians who are applying and those who are the selection team. Each applicant undergoes an interview process.

The successful applicant will be asked to commit Saturday, September 23 (8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) to participate in selecting their outbound team.

The newly selected team will then have the opportunity to meet the team from Brazil at the District Conference.

From there, the adventure begins as our GSE team will take Portugese lessons, prepare presentations, select team uniforms and bond as a team. The time commitment is generally once a week from November until departure.

It is a huge commitment but is quite definitely a "life changing experience."
