Club assembly on membership

Monday's club assembly was dedicated to membership growth, part of our Project 95 objective to grow to 95 members by December, 2005.

Steve Rhodes reminded members that the strategy going foward is to a)Prepare the market with a strong advertising and marketing campaign, b)Engage the members, utilizing the strength of our membership to build the club and C)get our house in order, which means assuring the process is in place to ensure that potential members are properly informed and quickly inducted into the world of Rotary.
Bill Charles introduced the club to a new incentive program that encourages and appropriately recognizes members who propose new members.
The program has three tiers.
Tier one recognizes a proposer with a $50 discount on club membership, a special badge to indicate they are a club builder, a special keepsake and recognition by the president and in the Spinner.
Tier two recognizes proposers or builders in a monthly draw for dinner for two, theatre tickets or a round of golf. The draw winner also gets an ad in the Board of Trade's Trade Talks and special recognition as Builder of the Month in The Spinner. Annually the Club Builder of the Year will be selected (with a minimum of four new members proposed and inducted) and awarded on the strength of the most members proposed. The winner will receive a weekend for two at Deerhurst, or $1,000 toward the vacation of their choice or $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
Tier three is a lifetime recognition award for building the club - The Rotary Club of Brampton Lifetime Builder's Award.
Members are only eligible once for this prestigious award and it's based on a minimum of six new members inducted. The award is cumulative and the annual winner will receive a trip to the Rotary International convention (where ever it is that year)with their spouse along with a $100 per day per diem. Details of the incentive program will be posted on the club website.
