The Rotary Club of Brampton had a great turnout for our annual support of Regeneration through Coldest Night Of the Year (CNOY), an important event in the community. RCB was a rest stop sponsor.
Members met at the Square for some social time before embarking on the walk.
Club members joined thousands of Canadians across the country who walked and fundraised to support and serve people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in the Brampton community. Family and Friends of Rotary joined us in support of Regeneration and CNOY 2026. During the walk, we had ice cream - thanks to the sponsorship of Dairy Queen. We enjoyed fellowship following the Walk.

The Rotary Club of Brampton had a packed agenda on the evening of March 2nd, 2026 with two dynamic speakers. First, District Governor Elect Uche Okugo shared information about Rotary International events and the upcoming Rotary International Convention.
Unite for Good has been the 2025 to 2026 RI presidential message. Uche highlighted the new theme for the next Rotary year. Engage to Inspire is new for 2026 to 2027.
Second, Jim Boyd, President & CEO of the Brampton Caledon Community Foundation (BCCF) presented information and an update on the BCCF. BCCF is a non-profit organization that manages, invests, and distributes funds to local registered charities. It is comprised of endowment funds.
An interesting fact that Jim shared was that the Winnipeg Foundation was Canada’s first community foundation. It was established in 1921. So, we have had a history of more than 100 years of community foundation activity in the country. The Winnipeg Foundation inspired other communities and acted as a catalyst across the country.
Many members of the club attended the annual Zonta Club of Brampton Caledon International Women’s Day Breakfast at Bramalea Lion's Hall on Avondale. It was an honour to represent the RCB in memory of Norm Binden who was dedicated to this community event and encouraged club members to attend.
The presentations about digital harassment and abuse were both shocking and moving.
Some members of the Rotary Club of Brampton joined local leaders, business professionals and community members to recognize women at the Brampton Board of Trade's InspiHer 2026 event. Together, we celebrated International Women's Day on March 5, 2026 at Millennium Gardens Banquet Centre in Brampton. Amazing local artists including Divine Lightbody were showcased through Spotlight Stage presented by Brampton on Stage and the recipient of the Naseem Somani Memorial Leadership Excellence Award was announced.
The room was packed and buzzing with energy. It was an inspiring night!
International Women's Day 2026 at the Rotary Club of Brampton was an opportunity to celebrate women and their achievements. We were thrilled to welcome Aman Kainth, Division Chief, Fire Life Safety Education with Brampton Fire & Emergency Services as our Keynote speaker.
A diverse audience came out to support her. She did not disappoint and delivered a powerful, inspiring presentation that was very moving and engaging for members and guests. In her speech, she touched on many themes and issues. Her speech stimulated a lot of thought and reflection and she took questions afterwards.
Some members wore purple, white or green in honour of International Women's Day. It was a memorable evening.
The room was full of President Elects (PE) from across District 7080 for the annual President Elect Learning Seminar. To start off, Assistant Governor Sunil Sharma and District Governor Elect Uche Okugo shared a new video entitled 2026 Rotary Revolution that blended the past and the future.
RCB PE Suzanne attended two full-day workshops as foundational training for the role of club president and networked with PEs from the Brampton Cluster and other clubs across the District. At the event, we learned that a new club has been formed, Rotary Club of Southgate. Monica Singh Soares is Charter President and she was in attendance for PE training.
Congratulations, Monica! RCB and District 7080 are thrilled to welcome a new club to the District.
RCB Changeover is planned for Monday July 6th, 2026, 6 pm at The Glen, when the in-coming Board of Directors and executive will be installed. Please save the date.
St Patrick's Day at the Rotary Club of Brampton was a grand event with fellowship, games and laughter.
The bean bag toss, fortune telling and pot of gold booths added volumes to the entertainment.
Thanks to the volunteers who helped out with the games and decorations. A huge thank you to Deboraha, who lead the Organizing Committee, the Friends of Rotary and all the volunteers who made this evening a huge success.

Our very own Chris-Beth delivered a dynamite marketing presentation to the Club on March 23rd, 2026. She shared her insights and recommendations for Club branding and promotion. Her presentation was very professional and inspiring, outlining methods to highlight who we are and the work we do as Rotarians. Members had a lot of questions and Chris-Beth responded to all the comments and requests.
The Rotary Club of Brampton meets Mondays from 12 noon to 1:30 pm EST and from 6 to 7:30 pm EST the first Monday of the month. Each week, we have exciting speakers on our agenda. We would love for you to come out and join us to get a taste of the Rotary experience.
