Rotary Club of Brampton Community Charity Mission Statement

The Rotary Club of Brampton Community Charity is the leading donation recipient and granting entity of the Rotary Club of Brampton. Its primary mission is to fund programs, in the City of Brampton, which benefit children and youth in the areas of health, education, child abuse and neglect, social development and life enrichment. It also funds community programs for the homeless, disabled and seniors and contributes, from time to time, to international Rotary projects which assist children and youth through registered Canadian charities.

Rotary Club of Brampton Community Charity Operating Principles
Source of Funds: Donations from members of The Rotary Club of Brampton and the public in general, special club events, donor directed funds, bequests from estates of Rotarians and others as well as investment income.
Purpose: The Charity will focus its resources on providing funding for programs that:
  • benefit children and youth in the areas of health, education, social development and life enrichment.
  • support the elderly and the physically and mentally vulnerable through community programs
  • assist the homeless through community programs
From time to time, the Charity may also provide disaster relief.

Granting Region: Primarily the City of Brampton

Funding Restrictions: Grants will generally not be made for ongoing operating purposes, deficit financing or endowment funds. Applicants must be registered charitable organizations or qualified individuals of the corporation.

Follow-up: Recipients of grants will be expected to report back to the Charity on the expenditure of moneys granted and the completion of projects supported by the Charity.
