Black History Month Fundraiser

What a night! The Rotary Club of Brampton had an amazing celebration of Black History Month on February 2, 2026 featuring Keynote speaker Mark Beckles, in support of Roots Community Services Inc. He delivered a thoughtful and moving speech.

It was an inspiring and impactful event that brought our community together in celebration, reflection, and support of the important work being done to uplift and empower others. Here is the Black History Month fundraiser through photos.

ADG Presentation and Welcoming Trudy McFarlane

The Rotary Club of Brampton is thrilled to welcome our newest member to the club.  Dr. Trudy McFarlane joined our Rotary Family on February 9th, 2026. Five members and Club President John conducted a beautiful ceremony to induct Trudy into the club.

We also had a visit from Assistant District Governor 2025-26, Sunil Sharma. He gave a presentation entitled "Rotary Means Business". This program provides avenues for business networking and membership growth.

Enjoying the Steelheads

Recently, Rotary Club of Brampton members enjoyed some social time together watching a couple of Steelheads games. Members were joined by Rotaracters and Friends of Rotary. These were fun evenings of Rotary fellowship out at the CAA Centre, making good memories. Steelheads mascot Rosie entertained the kids and the adults alike!

Learning about Paramedic Services

What numbers can you phone in Brampton if you need help? Why should children be taught their address and phone number? The Rotary Club of Brampton hosted Christine Garrett, a Paramedic, and Marc de Oliveira, Community Relations, from Peel Regional Paramedic Services on February 23, 2026. Marc gave a great presentation and provided answers to these questions and to many more.

Marc shared some statistics and also mentioned the File of Life. Here's a tip. He asked people to keep that handy near the fridge. Marc and Christine also brought some resources to share with members. It was a very informative presentation.
