Stories
Robbie Burns Celebration
On January 22, 2024, the Club celebrated Robbie Burns Day. All things Scottish were feted as we honoured Scotland's national poet and lyricist. In addition to reading well-known poems written by Burns and eating haggis, Club members wore plaid and sang Auld Lang Syne, a famous Scottish song. Of course, we piped in the haggis. It is tradition! For those who missed this fun event, please mark it on your calendar for next January!
Children's Christmas Party
On Sunday December 17th, 2023, the Rotary Club of Brampton hosted a Christmas Party for 80 special needs children as well as their siblings and parents. The event was held at Century Gardens Recreation Centre.
Photo keepsakes were created and presents were handed out to the children. A big thank you to all who rang in the Christmas Season by providing service to the community children's party and making it a great success!
Story Sharing: Career Pathways
On November 27th, 2023, Rotarian Dr. Suzanne Cook led an interactive workshop entitled Career Redirection. She told stories and discussed the importance of taking an active role in managing your career. Members discussed their own careers. Suzanne facilitated an exercise that members completed and everyone was encouraged to share their experiences with career development. Members learned a lot about each other during this rich discussion.

Black History Month Celebration
On Monday February 5th, 2024, the Rotary Club of Brampton celebrated Black History Month. It was an incredible event, with 136 people registered! It was a fun and informative evening. The guest speaker was Dr. Jean Augustine, who was a wonderful dynamic presenter. She spoke about supporting Black communities and the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent. We are thrilled that Dr. Augustine is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Brampton.
