The Cowboy Casserole Luncheon is an exciting event this Monday September 29th, 2025. It is a Brampton Club Cluster event with all five Brampton clubs present and is an annual fundraiser for charity.

 

Looking forward to seeing many members there - 11:45 am start!

 

On July 7, 2025, Susan Mather gave a presentation entitled Age is Wisdom. She got all the members up and dancing. We were delighted to have her join us for such a dynamic presentation.

 

 

Club Changeover was July 14, 2025 where we welcomed in the new President and 2025 - 2026 Board of Directors.

 

President Tim gave some remarks about his year and passed the torch to President John Digby. It was a grand occasion with family, colleagues, friends and Friends of Rotary in attendance. We had a packed house. Mayor Patrick Brown joined us. He brought greetings from the City of Brampton and special congratulations to Past President Tim and President John as well as best wishes on our 85th anniversary.

 

What a night! It was a fun and memorable evening with lots of fellowship, good conversation and excellent food. 

 

 

 

We hosted several speakers on July 22, 2025. Fellow Rotarian, Karen Van Horne as well as Shawn Gilpin and Dennis Powell joined us. They gave a presentation on a project called "Hands Across The Ocean" focused on service in Jamaica to help children and youth.

 

We welcomed our newest member, Monica Singh Soares, on July 28th, 2025. The Membership Committee led an Induction Ceremony for new Rotarian Monica while her entire family looked on.
 
We also hosted Dayana Gomez, Executive Director of the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation. She gave a talk about the Credit Valley Conservation projects. The environment is one of Rotary's seven areas of focus and her presentation intrigued many club members. 

 

 

The RCB was thrilled to have two speakers on August 18th, 2025. First, Adventures in Citizenship graduate and high school student Calista Mendes shared her experiences. She attended AIC in Ottawa in May, 2025. She gave a wonderful presentation and described the big impact the program had on her. 

 

Second, Dr. Jobin Varughese gave his Classification Talk to the Club focusing on his education and career. He described his roles as Interim Assistant Dean, Primary Care at TMU's School of Medicine and President of the Ontario College of Family Physicians. He is also Associate Vice President of Academics at William Osler Health System. ​Members were very interested in hearing about his work to improve healthcare within the system. 

 

It was a wonderful meeting with two very dynamic and passionate speakers. 

 

 

On August 25, 2025 Julie-Ann Ellis Bradley joined us. Julie-Ann is an internationally trained lawyer. She is currently pursuing a Master of Peace and Conflict Studies (MPACS) at Conrad Grebel University College, University of Waterloo. She gave a presentation about Peace and Conflict Resolution and walked us through an exercise to help us think critically about conflict from different perspectives.
