Our newest member, Monica Singh Soares, delivered her Classification Talk to the Club on November 3rd, 2025 during an evening dinner meeting. We enjoyed hearing Monica share stories about her life journey and her family. In fact, her family was in attendance to support her and learn more about Rotary. Thanks, Monica, for giving an inspiring presentation.
On November 8th, 2025, Rotary Club of Brampton held a fundraiser for the Rose Orchestra. We were honoured to welcome Dr. Tan and members of the Orchestra to the Glen for a Black Tie dinner event. The food was spectacular and the music was divine.
Everyone had a fabulous time. Thank you again to the organizing committee for making this such a successful event!
On November 10th, the Rotary Club of Brampton recognized Remembrance Day. The Club honoured the people who served Canada and gave their life and those who continue to serve Canada today.
Peel Regional Police representatives delivered a message that was deeply meaningful in honour of this day. New Club Members and long time Members read poems including In Flanders Field, For the Fallen and Why Wear A Poppy?.
Finally, Members shared personal and family stories about past wars.
The much-beloved Brampton Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton, was held Saturday November 15, 2025. President John and his wife Patricia rode in the car and greeted everyone.
Chris-Beth brought her family and found great seats in the VIP area. The float was beautiful.
Despite the rain, parade volunteers made friends with children and their families. The smiles on everyone's faces made all the hard work worthwhile and the weather cleared as quickly as it started.
After the parade, club members congratulated each other on another year and a job well-done!
On Monday November 17th, 2025, we were thrilled to welcome two great presenters to the Club. First, Stephanie Christensen, Executive Director of ShelterBox Canada, gave a dynamic presentation and showed us the tools and resources that Shelterbox provides to people in need.
Then, Michael Vickers, Executive Director of Brampton Arts Organization, shared news and updates with the Club.
On November 24th, 2025, the Rotary Club of Brampton welcomed guest speaker, Michael Lockwood, who delivered a talk entitled "An Overview of the Metals World". Michael walked us through an introduction to the metal industry including the various types of metals used in industry and the different metal processes. He fielded many questions from the members about the industry. We look forward to having Michael back again soon.
On Monday December 1st, 2025, we were thrilled to host Helen Graham, President of the Rose Orchestra Board of Directors, to present a cheque for $14,000 from our A Little Night Music fundraising event. We were very happy to support the Rose Orchestra and look forward to another fundraising musical evening collaboration in 2026.
Then, Past President Badar delivered a talk entitled "Local Economic Stakeholders and the Role of Canadian Business Councils". He discussed the local industry landscape, Business Councils and business incubators and accelerators. He identified local and global economic stakeholders.
On Sunday December 7th, 2025, several members of the Rotary Club of Brampton enjoyed a Brunch with Santa to support Eden Food for Change. It was a great networking opportunity for the Club Executive. The event was fun for children and families and was well attended. Stakeholders from the Region of Peel were present and Rotary Clubs from Brampton and Mississauga came together to support the community need. The Brunch was a huge success, raising much needed funds to support the food bank.
We were happy to welcome DG Susanne Zbinden to The Glen on Monday December 8th, 2025. DG Susanne shared stories from her life journey and made connections to the guest speakers that were invited to the District 7080 Conference.
On December 15th, 2025, the Rotary Club of Brampton hosted members and their families for the annual Christmas Party Dinner. The Glen was packed full. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and everyone came wearing their best. Past President and Board member Jim read the children a story and we were all surprised when Santa arrived.

The Rotary Club of Brampton held its annual Children's Christmas Party on Sunday December 21st, 2025. Invitations were sent out. On the big day, the room was packed.
The children and their families had a wonderful time thanks to some kind elves. Of course, Santa was there. It was great to see that lots of elves, big and small, helped out. It was heart warming to see the children with smiles on their faces.
Past President John Mullen, Past President Dittie, and Luisa did a great job organizing the event. A big thank you to everyone who attended and made this event such a success.
