Youth in Motion (YIM) is a national, not-for-profit organization focused on developing the employability and life skills of today's youth to prepare them effectively for success in life and work, says Akela Peoples, co-founder president and CEO.
She told the club that programs are designed to provide access to career information and increase awareness about opportunities for youth.
Program areas include - Mentoring, Career Website, National Conferences, of which there are 90, and Top 20 under 20, a national awards and mentoring program that celebrates multiple paths to success.
"At Youth in Motion, we believe that in today's world of work, there are many paths to success. Whether your future aspirations are to be a doctor, banker, skills trade worker, artist or a social activist, Top 20 Under 20 can play a role in helping young people reach their goals." Akela said.
Our club supports in part Youth in Motion's World Council. This annual Leadership Summit is an exclusive four day leadership development opportunity for Top 20 Under 20 recipients where they are provided an opportunity to visit and interact with successful companies and organizations and their leaders.
