Welcome Glenn Williams
Posted by Stephen Rhodes
Glenn Williams, a certified management accountant in private practice, was inducted into our club at a special ceremony last Monday. President Wendell, Lt.-Gov Syd Harmon and Membership Chair John Mullen conducted the ceremony.
Glenn was proposed for membership by John Sanderson.

Through Rotary, Glenn hopes to be able "to contribute to the broader community of Brampton. I think everyone needs to be involved to some extent. My other volunteering tends to me more personally focused - my daughter in school or in Beavers."
Glenn is a Scoutmaster with 2nd Brampton (Christ Church) and he also serves as the treasurer of the Parkway Public School Council.
Glenn is married to Linda and they have a seven-year-old daughter Mary.
"I also like the fact Rotary is made up of business people."
Glenn owns and operates Williams Financial Management and specializes in accounting for small business, most under 10 employees. Among the services he provides are tax services, bookkeeping, financial statements, payroll, controllership and business plans. In addition to a CMA designation, Glenn also has a B.Comm degree as well as a B.Science degree.
Glenn has been a Brampton resident for 12 years. He lived in Peterborough for seven years and grew up in Cobourg.
When asked what he hopes to get out of Rotary he said, "I would like to see a better community. Whether it is improvements to Gage Park or Junior Achievement, I know that none of these things tends to happen unless people get involved."
Glenn's hobbies include gardening (he has more than 50 rose bushes) and canoeing.
