We appreciate our supporters

A special gala evening to recognize and show appreciation for the sponsors of our Childrens' Charity program and the annual Rib 'n' Roll was held Oct 14, co-chaired by Ed Boonstra and Rob van Kessel.
Rob thanked all of the sponsors in this year's Rib 'n' Roll and in particular Investors Group as the lead sponsor. The club raised $28,000 for the local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Ed too thanked all of the sponsors in this year's Children's Charity events including Skate-a-thon, Thunder Run, the Dinner, Dance and Auction as well as the Teen dances and annual Christmas Party and Picnic. In particular he thanked the Firefighters Association for their contribution.
The Children's Charity committee raised a total of $49,000 this year.
Both Rob and Ed thanked the Peel Regional Police and the Fire Department, the Brampton Guardian and the City of Brampton, in particular Steve Wilson, for their ongoing support of all Rotary events.
