Valentine's dinner a success

Another Valentine's dinner has come and gone to a resounding success! During our networking time, Denis “Fingers” Stephenson provided a musical backdrop of romantic tunes all to set just the perfect atmosphere for the evening.
After dinner, audience participation was the order of the day! “Doc Brown” dressed in his finest, led the crowd in rousing renditions of “I'm In The Mood For Love” and “Close To You” while “Fingers” provided the musical accompaniment. Soon to be followed by The Rotary Club of Brampton Vocal Group, the VG's – it's like singing, but different! (trademark pending)
Next on the agenda, “Doc Brown” introduced his “Band of Reknown”, featuring “Thelonoius Munk” - (who works for bananas) on triangle and “Big Sticks Burton” on drums. “Larry L'Amour” or was it “Larry Manure” performed the all-time romantic hit, “Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah” creating such a frenzied reaction from the crowd that both men and women alike stripped their unmentionables and threw them on stage for “Larry” to collect! Between the red lace and depends, we're not sure which way “Larry” swings....
The showstopper performance was the VG's unforgettable performance of “Guitarzan”. At this point nobody is sure how much more the audience can take! But due to the resounding applause and standing ovation, the VG's accompanied by “Fingers” Stephenson played an encore performance of “I Got You Babe” which totally ended the evening on a note!
