Toss-A-Toonie and help thousands

The Salvation Army hopes to raise $300,000 in its annual Toss-A-Toonie campaign this year.
Last year they raised $225,000 in Brampton and Caledon and while this total fell short of the goal, it was a significant success considering the economy.
The money allowed the Salvation Army to reach out to 1,575 families. It also meant 2,750 children received Christmas gifts.
John Sanderson reported that our location at the Sandalwood LCBO has been very successful. The club will donate all happy bucks and fines to the Salvation Army's Christmas Fundraising. Please contact John if you wish to "man" the kettle. Major Bert Sharpe would be most appreciative.

The 2010 Campaign Chair, Regional Councillor John Sanderson said, “I am amazed at how generous Brampton and Caledon residents have been over the years. Even in a poor economy I think they understand how important it is to help those in need.”
