Thunder Run a success again. Over two hundred and seventy participants rode in the Rotary Club of Brampton Thunder Run on Saturday. Numbers were lower than last year but the quality was high, particularly in the Motorcycle Show and Shine and the Antique Car competitions. Brampton Mayor Susan Fennel opened the event which included the annual Easter Seals Children's Picnic.
Qadesh, the tiger, was again in attendance. Event Chair Daisy Oliver reported that the 50/50 Draw, the Food and Beer concessions and event registration fees raised over $19,000 to be used for our Children's Charities. Thank you to all the Rotarians from our Club as well as other Brampton Clubs; thank you to the Rotary Exchange Students, to the Police and Fire Department volunteers and to the Mississauga Chapter of the Gold Wing Touring Association for making this a success.
