Thunder Run raises $35,000

Thunder Run raised $35,000 for Easter Seals. Co-chair Daisy Oliver said the spectacular event exceeded everyone's expectations.
She said there were 338 motorcycles registered for the event and more than 400 participants.
The Classic Cars, a new addition to Thunder Run this year, attracted nearly 1,000 visitors over the day-long event.
"All of the events during the day were fabulous - the tug of war, police dog demonstration, fire extraction demonstration and the Golden Helmets," she said.
And food sales were brisk.
Daisy thanked Bino and Carl Dali for providing breakfast for participants. She also thanked all participating Rotarians for making the day a "huge success".
Ed Boonstra said the Easter Seals Picnic attracted 70 kids. Children were excited by the prospect of winning medals in special games, he said.
"We had fireman cooking for the kids. The World Champion tug-of-war team put on a demonstration and the kids beat them two straight. All in all it was a fun day for the kids."
