Three is a magic number

When put into perspective, the blackout of August 2003 will be less important to the Rotary Club of Brampton than the arrival of our two new exchange students.
On both Friday and Sunday John Lomax with his daughter Gillian and Norm Bindon with his granddaughter Kendal traveled to Toronto airport to meet our Inbounds from Denmark and Brazil.

Bjarke Rubow is from the Danish island of Bornholm located east of Sweden and north of Poland, a long way from the Danish mainland. Bjarke will attend Mayfield school and will be hosted until after Christmas by the family of John Lomax.
Fernanda Norberto is from Recife in Brazil. Her first hosts will be the family of Gordon Latimer, a member of the Rotary Club of Brampton South. After Christmas she will move to the home of Norm and Elizabeth Bindon. Fernando will attend North Park Secondary School.
The arrival of Fernanda and Bjarke brings to three the number of Inbound exchange students currently hosted by the Rotary Club of Brampton. Vladimirs Savenkov from Russia was expected to arrive in August of 2002. Misunderstandings about our deaf exchange program caused delays in the issuance of his visa. He did not arrive until April 2003 and will return home in March of 2004. Three Inbounds at once may be a Club record for District 7080; it is certainly the most hosted by any single Club at present.
