Iona Buisman says she hopes to grow Peel's Teen Moms' program to accommodate 30 young mothers. Already Teen Moms' provides programming for 10 teen mothers, but expansion is necessary to meet the needs in the region she says.
Teen Moms provides guidance and mentoring to these young women. The group receives support from Peel Region and various churches, but is still looking for new partners to be able to expand.

Iona, who is the program's administrator, says she hopes to recruit an additional 20 volunteers to meet their goal of mentoring an additional 20 young mothers. There are other ways to help. Donations of used clothing, diapers or baby goods, car or booster seats are wlecome.

The group also need financial support to offset transporation costs for young moms, many of whom don't have a car.

Outside of the administrator's salary, the program costs $2,500 to operate for 10 moms.
