Support for Family Businesses
Michael spoke to the club about his own personal experiences as manager, business development for OK Transportation Ltd - a family-owned business.
CAFE offers an outsider's perspective and an insider's understanding of family business. The group's objective is to educate, inform and encourage members in areas of unique interest to family business, through programs that provide the best sources of information and professional advice available.
The Upper Canada Chapter of CAFE serves members in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond that to Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo, Newmarket and Peterborough. As well as being the largest chapter in the network, it is also the founding chapter of CAFE.
CAFE Upper Canada offers its members a dynamic schedule of workshops, speaker events and opportunities to meet socially. They strive to serve and benefit everyone associated with the family business - founders and successors, their spouses, immediate family members who are not active in the business, and key employees who are not family members.
The membership of CAFE Upper Canada comprises a diverse group of businesses of all sizes and in a variety of industry sectors.
The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE) will host a series of breakfast seminars to provide insight, tools and strategies to ensure the success and continuity for family-based businesses in
Upcoming seminars are: Mar. 22 (Rotary Glen) Fair vs. Equal ($25); and April 21 (Rotary Glen) Founders and Successors ($25).
