STAMPS FOR A CURE

Very soon the holiday season will bring more cards and letters to each of our mailboxes.  The stamps are often a “special issue” and valuable to stamp collectors.  Please collect these stamps (just tear off a small piece of the envelope) and contribute to the Leprosy Mission.  Used stamps are sold to dealers and the proceeds fund medical interventions for those with leprosy.  One complete cure costs $350 and prevents a life of suffering and abandonment.  So far stamps contributed this year has generated $7,000 towards a goal of $13,000 – a cure for 37 individuals.  All used postage stamps are welcome.  Carole Berry.
