RYLA 2017

Three of the five students sponsored by the RC Brampton were able to present their experience of the District 7080 RYLA program.

Elyse Digby (U.of T. Biological Chemistry), Amit Yadav (U.of T. Health Science graduate), and Kera Anstruther (U. of Guelph Criminal Justice) shared this life-changing opportunity.  They emphasized this opportunity to meet participants from across the District, and form strong supportive relationships within a couple of days was both unique and surprising.    They enjoyed the networking and team building exercises, guest presenters from everything from Financial Literacy to Public Speaking, as well as the Rotary Meeting at RYLA hosted by the two Orangeville Rotary Clubs.     As always, the opportunity to give a 5 minute oral presentation was a chance for each of the 30+ participants to share and receive feedback.  “Well-organized, very structured and inspiring” were some of the positive descriptions of the RYLA program run by Chris-Beth Cowie and Madiha Khan.

Mari Isogai (Sheridan College graduate) and Morgan Biss (U of T. Biological Chemistry) were unable to attend due to their work schedules.  They sent messages of appreciation for this very special opportunity
