Meet Sasana Fujita

Louisa formally introduced Sasana Fujita, Brampton Rotary's newest exchange student from Japan.

Sasana was welcomed at the airport by Louisa, Norm Binden, Carole Berry and Steve Robinson. She spent the rest of her weekend at a Jays game with Norm and a fun stay at the lake with Steve and his family.

"I'm so happy to be here," said Sasana.

Louisa thanked Brampton Rotary for the opportunity to host exchange students.  "It's a great thing that the club does and it's fortunate to have a great community of support."

Sasana is already speaking more English and is looking forward to starting high school.  Louisa asked that club members please include her in any activities they may be planning with their families.  There will be a welcome party for all Rotary Youth Exchange Students on September 17 at Mocon Nurseries.

Prior to the introduction, Dennis played the Japanese national anthem and the Japanese flag was  placed at the front of the room, where it will remain for the duration of Sasana's stay.
